Q) What is the delivery time of our pictures?
A) Roughly 3-4 weeks. Most of our current schools receive a class composite or yearbook and both of these options are delivered in the winter or spring. However, classroom group pictures with names are included in the packages; delivery averages 4-6 weeks due to the proofing process.
Q) How long does it take to schedule each class?
A) For an average class of 25 students it takes approximately 20 minutes per class. Add 5 minutes per class for grades K & 1. Please consider eliminating playground recess periods on picture day. Also, scheduling classes immediately after P.E. is not a good idea. Schedule as many classes before lunch as possible. If one 10 minute break is scheduled in the morning that is all we need. If we do run behind, no break will be taken. We want your picture day to run as smoothly as possible
Q) What if a student forgets his/her envelope on picture day?
A) In elementary schools, we generally photography every student for school records. Parents have until 2:00 pm the next working day to call our office to submit a Visa or MasterCard order. We also return to all our elementary/middle schools for an absentee/retake day after pictures are delivered.
Q) Can siblings be photographed on picture day?
A) Our primary concern is servicing the school population on picture day but we are happy to photograph siblings on absentee/retake day. We have more time to coax a smile out of an unpredictable toddler at that time.
Q) When is absentee/retake day?
A) We schedule an absentee/retake date after pictures are delivered
to the school. Please call our office at (847) 228-0033, or toll free at (877) 741-8418
if your school has not announced that date. Please do not call your school. You
can also click here to email us and we will let you know your absentee/retake date as soon
as possible.
Q) Does my child have to pay to have his/her picture retaken?
A) There is no fee but the child needs to return their pictures on retake day to have the photograph retaken. If there is a class picture in the package, you should remove it before you return it to our photographer.
Q) What do I do if pictures are missing from my package?
A) Please complete the form on the back of the picture envelope, tell us what you are missing and we will correct the error.
Q) What do I do to receive a refund?
A) Please return your entire package to our main office in Palatine. Enclose a note requesting a refund within 10 days of receipt of your order. The cost of your class picture or yearbook will be deducted from your refund when applicable.
Q) How long does it take to receive my refund?
A) Approximately 3 weeks.
Q) I missed absentee/retake day at the school, is there anything I can do?
A) We have periodic dates scheduled in our Palatine and Brookfield offices for
absentee and retakes (November through February). Call our office to schedule an appointment.
Q) What if I like my original photo better than my retake portrait?
A) The original photos are no longer available but you can receive a refund on retake photos.
Q) Will the original photo or retake photo be used in the yearbook?
A) The absentee/retake photo is used in yearbooks unless eyes are closed.
Q) I forgot to bring my package; can I still take a retake?
A) Sorry, returning your portrait package is just like returning a sweater. It cannot be replaced if you do not return merchandise.
Q) How much room does our photographer need to set up properly?
A) We need approximately 25 square feet.
Q) Where is the best location for our photograher to set up?
A) A gym, music/art room, library, stage or empty classroom work well. If rooms have windows, the shades should be working. We also need access to electricity. Please remove tables, chairs or equipment stored in any of the aforementioned areas. This will help make picture day go smoothly, we will do a better job for you.
Q) Can I write one check for 3 children?
A) We prefer separate checks, but if you do write just 1 check, please indicate
on envelopes with no payment, where the check is located. e.g. check is in John Frank's
envelope / Mrs. Jones / Grade 3. A separate payment envelope is necessary for each child
purchasing pictures.
